She played collegiate tennis at Butler before graduating from Ball State in 1988. Since her arrival at the Bossier Tennis Center, she has received the following awards: 2007
Louisiana Tennis Association - Tennis Professional of the
Year - Elana Engleman United States Tennis Association - Outstanding Facility Award. Eighteen facilities across the US received this prestigious award. Bossier was the only Louisiana facility to win an award. The United States Tennis Association’s Facility Awards Program was established to stimulate high standards in tennis facilities and to recognize those facilities whose efforts make such a positive statement about the vitality of the game. 2010

Elana, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been
the Director of Tennis at the North Bossier Tennis Center since the opening
of the Tennis Center on June 15, 2006. Prior to coming to Bossier
City, Engleman has taught tennis
in Washington
D.C., Ceseme, Turkey, Indiana, Alabama and in Florida. She has a
P1 certification through the United States Professional Tennis Association
and in 1993 was awarded the USPTA Indiana Teaching Professional of the Year.
