Tournaments, adult leagues, junior camps, lessons. clinics and socials are all part of the programs that tennis Pro, USPTA Professional Elana Engleman has put together.  We offer rackets, tennis balls, clothing, shoes, other accessories for sale and stringing service.

Tennis is a great exercise and a fun sport and it's a terrific way to meet friends, neighbors and like-minded enthusiasts. Come out and join in the fun.  Call the Pro Shop at 213-2108 to get started.

Join us at the Bossier Tennis Center or Mike Wood Park for a fun Play Day Festival. For every participant that registers under their school at the event USTA Southern will match the funds collected DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR for tennis equipment at that school. Every school that participates in our after school program is eligible for the equipment grant. Come for a great day of fun for a good cause. May 2012 Events

Mixed Doubles League
Mixed Doubles is in full swing. Anyone interested in joining a team, please contact Elana as soon as possible. Teams are being formed at all levels for seniors and adult players. Play begins just after Memorial Day Weekend.

Senior Olympics
Senior Olympics are still taking entries for the 20th Northwest Louisiana District Senior Olympics tennis competition which will be held at North Bossier Tennis Center.

Mixed Doubles and Singles will be contested May 10-13. Sign up by 5 p.m.

Wednesday. Matches will be scheduled after noon on Thursday. Men's and Women's doubles will be held the following week. Please call Elana for more information.

Local League
We are starting the Bossier local flex league for men and women's doubles. 6.5-7.0+ combo for men and womens doubles teams will be played on Mondays at 7 pm. 5.0, and 5.5-6.0+ will be played on Thursdays. 7.5-8.0 + will be on Tuesdays. Anyone interested in playing should call the front desk or talk with Elana. You do not need a partner to sign up. We will find you a partner if you do not already have one in mind. We will be adding teams until Memorial Day. The league is flexible as always.

Adult State Volunteers Needed
If you have any time over Memorial Day weekend, please volunteer for a three hour shift. We need court workers, food prep, check-in and greeters. Please call the front desk to put your name down for a certain day and time. We need people Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8-11 am, 11-2, and 2-5 pm. Thursday evening we could also use help with food prep for the next day. We always have had a great tournament. Please us keep Bossier one of the favorite places to play. Volunteer today.

Summer Junior Tennis
Summer Tennis Lesson schedule for the Summer is available this Saturday at our schools equipment fundraiser form 12-2. Summer camp, lessons and Adult programs will be available. Matt Zachary will be assisting in classes this Summer both at BTC and at Mike Wood Park. We welcome Matt home form LSU and look forward to having his help on court.

Bossier Tennis Community
I have been nominated to go "behind bars" for a good cause this Thursday. The Muscular Dystrophy foundation is in the fight against muscle disease and I am joining other community leaders to halp raise critical funds for MDA and I would like your help to reach my bail.
The 2012 Bossier City Lock Up takes place on 05/05/2012, but I'm raising my bail before I go to jail! All you have to do is click on the "personal page" link below or you can drop off any donations at the club. Your support will help families living in our community with muscle disease, and help guarantee that I get out of jail. I will be sure to add you to my list of contributors. I was told that the bail will allow 2 kids the opportunity to go to camp this summer.

Sunday 2-3:30 pm, Mondays & Thursdays 4:30-6 pm and Saturdays 10-11:30 am.
