Play Tennis Bossier Expansion Tournament Results
November 3, 2008
Wow! Based on feedbacks from the players,  the tournament was a huge success.  With perfect weather, lots of good food, door prizes and competitive tennis, everyone had a great experience.

The tournament began with the the Adult play starting at 9:00 am, followed by a children clinic at 4:00 pm and wrapping up with grades 6 -12 at 7:00 pm.   The four adult teams competing were the Lobbers, Poachers, Smashers and Lovers.  Each team comprised of 11 men and 11 women.  The Poachers prevailed as the champions with the Lobbers close behind, but the main reason for the tournament was for everyone to have a good time and raise money for the expansion of the Bossier Tennis Center.   Click here for the draw and scores.   Photos of the tournament will be posted in a few days.

Everyone is requested to send in your comments on the need for additional courts and a larger facility building.  Send your comments to tennis@bossiertennis.org .  Comments will be posted on the Play Tennis Bossier web page at:  http://www.bossiertennis.org/playbossier/default.htm .

Play Tennis Bossier Expansion Web Page
September 30, 2008
This is an exciting time for Bossier.  The City and Parish are continuing to grow and prosper.  The North Bossier Park and tennis center were a great addition to our growing community.  The park and tennis center are loved by many.  Thousands of players both experienced players who a few short years ago had no tennis center in Bossier at which to play as well as many new players have benefited from the establishment of the tennis center.  However, the courts of the present facility are too often filled to capacity and the player facility building is simply to small to accommodate daily play and tournaments.  Let us work together to improve our facility with the addition of courts and a larger player facility so we can accommodate the players we have, bring more players to the game both young and no so young and host tournaments so those outside our area can see all our area has to offer.  To help promote public awareness, please visit our expansion web page at: http://www.bossiertennis.org/playbossier/
